Some new pictures

Just a few soap pictures from the past few weeks of work to brighten up your Monday morning! Enjoy!

Practicing my swirling and with the herb colorants more. This swirl was fun but not quite what I was looking for. The scent was a huge hit though and made it to the keeper list!

Olive and Castor Unscented Soap April 2013
Olive and Castor Unscented Soap April 2013

As requested by many, a plain olive and castor oil soap again. This one will be live in the catalog by the end of the month and also available at our booths this month. The plain pioneer style one will also be live again soon.

Made another run of the Raspberry and Chocolate also. This picture is freshly cut and shows how red it gets before the vanilla really kicks in and darkens it up. This is such a great smell in the bathroom!

More posts to come soon but wanted to share a little love with everyone on a Monday morning. I must return to the oils and finish whipping up a few more batches of soap. I will be lurking in the background around the site today so drop me a line if you have any questions or catch me on our Facebook page. We will be at both the CyFair Craft Show on Telge Road next weekend and at the Spring Crawfish Festival for the last two weekends of the month. Stop by and say hi! Guys only: don’t forget to email me at dorothy@texaspioneercreations.com if you were interested in joining the final round of feedback for two new men’s scents or adding a comment below! It is Monday so please make sure to be specific in your email- I’m finishing up the first cup of coffee still 🙂

Happy Washing!

Mad Scientist at Work Again….

…Please stand by. Our resident mad scientist, aka Dorothy, has been spotted digging thru a pile of research notes, tromping thru the garden with her cutters on a mission, and plotting the reveal of a few new ideas again. She was already murmuring about the info she had learned about a new-to-her allergen when that really great guy in the big brown delivery truck arrived, bringing her another box of goodies she had apparently been lying in wait for. There were squeals of joy as the contents were whisked away to the kitchen. The cauldron and stick blender have been trying hard to keep up and have been heard begging for mercy. As the household is running out of flat surfaces for her to stack soap and her soap racks are almost full, we expect to be able to drag her away from the kitchen shortly. It may require bribery of chocolate or coffee to make her stay in her computer chair but we shall get her to create a coherent update shortly of her crafting.

Happy Washing!

Things are hopping here

It’s been quite a few crazy weeks around here again. You too? We had a great time at Donna’ Market last Saturday and met some more great people. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, the funny jokes, and also to those who gave me some new projects to play with! I’m hoping to start on two of those next week. Tonight we will be at the Klein Oak High School Spring Fling Carnival to help them with a school fundraiser so we hope to see more of you again. My ankle is still healing though so hubby probably won’t let me play on the giant inflatables. Sigh. That’s life though. I’m sure this thing will be back to 100% percent before too much longer and I’ll be back to zooming around at top speed- yay!

As I double checked the checklist to make sure I had everything loaded for tonight, I realized that I hadn’t updated the website. Bad, bad Dorothy! So I am uploading a few pictures of the recent soapy fun I’ve had in the kitchen and praying they show here for your enjoyment too. Someone really should get going on that smell-o-vision already because these soaps smell heavenly! The only way you’re going to get to breathe in this awesomeness is to come see us in person.

The green and white this time is our Sage and Citrus while the cool rock-looking one is the revamped Cinnamon Swirl Soap. (Remember not to put that one on your face or “tender bits” unless you want one extra spicy wash!) You’ll also find below the new Peppermint confetti soap that has been a BLAST! I called this run of it a “split decision” set because I had started topping it with the panels embedded flat as had been requested. I just couldn’t help making a few stand up like shark fins towards the end- and they loved that look even more. So awesome and fun- I will definitely be keeping more of this around!

Come by and see us tonight at the carnival too. The street address is 22603 Northcrest Lane, Spring, TX 77389 and even my GPS directions thing can find it- hooray! Over the next few weeks we’ll be updating everyone on where to find us for April and May along with more soaping fun. See you around, have lots of fun this weekend, and keep smiling everybody. It confuses people 😉

Happy Washing!
