Description
Many of you know that we’ve enjoyed making soap from scratch for years. One day we started making soap with beer and the fun began! All of our alcohol bar soaps are made using the same recipes as the traditional bars. The twist is where we add alcohols including beer, whiskey, rum, wines, amaretto, and tequila. Before you worry, or get too excited, there is no consumable alcohol left in the bars! Just like grandma making beer bread, the alcohol gets cooked out in the soap making process due to the heat created. They are safe for all ages and make a fun gift idea.
We are always looking for new alcohols to play with so be sure to let Dorothy know if you have a favorite. You just might earn bragging rights over a soap creation!
Our Beer Soap line is still made in small batches with fan favorite beers. We use our preferred old fashioned recipe, the best beers, and our special little touches to create each variety. Each individual variety of beer gets its own scent to match that beer; you’ll have to collect them all! These soaps were originally made for the men in our lives but over the years we expanded the line. We’ve been told the variety of scents are loved by the whole family. These are great for head to toe use; reviewers usually tell us they even use them for shampooing and shaving soaps. Love your Shiner, Karbach, No Label, or St Arnold beer? Know a huge fan of Guinness or Miller Lite? Wait until you take it into the shower with you!
Whiskey soaps are triple cooked to lock in their scent. They also are made from our favorite traditional recipe and include a blend of whiskeys to achieve the right results. Their color tends to be tan to dark brown and we occasionally offer a variety with charcoal. Whiskey soaps are great for face, hand, or body soaps.
Wine soaps are made with a wide variety of wines, mostly from here in Texas. Most popular varieties seem to be the red wines but we enjoy playing with them all. The sugars in wines create pretty, tiny, white bubbles that are fun. These soaps are of course great in the shower but Dorothy also recommends them for kitchen soaps. She does a lot of from scratch cooking and tells us that wine soaps seem to knock garlic, onion, and fishy smells from her hands. We do scent these soaps also.
Mead and hard cider soaps are also fun to wash with! The sugars in these alcohols make great bubbles that gently wash away the day. These are also usually scented to match with the mead or hard cider they are made with. The mead soaps we make for the Bee Weaver gift shop are not available on our site at this time, sorry. They get all of the bars we make with the WildFlyer Mead and you can contact them directly to purchase them here.
We really can make soap from your home brewed beer, wine, or mead. Want a soap made from your brewery, distillery, or meadery products? The Custom Order option here on our site makes it easy to get that project moving! We will happily work with you to create soaps with your own personal touch. They can be custom labeled for gifting or reselling, whatever you may need.
